Defenders of the Faith hail from the west end of Canada. Comprised of rappers Checkmate and Concise, each have their individual legacy with a career over a decade long. Both born in Africa, this team of writers/producers were key elements in such songs as the Juno Award Winning, #1 hit "Northern Touch", Juno Winning # 1 hit "Fuel Injected", Juno nominated Rap recording "R.A.W.", Juno Nominated Rap album "F.A.M.E.", and numerous radio and video hits worldwide. They recently signed a worldwide digital distribution deal with HipHopCanada Digital.

Ashton "Famous" Bishop built his career with a strong foundation. Learning the inside of the business working at a record label and Canada's predominate urban radio station, Flow 93.5, Famous has developed an understanding of what people want. His first official release entitled  "I Rap Now" has created a well-deserved hype and Famous doesn't plan on slowing down. Look out for Famous as he drops more gems in 2009.

Known for their wit and charisma, the massive six-emcee crew Empire has an impressive rap sheet and fan base. Representing the east of Toronto, members have taken countless freestyle battle titles and hustled their mixtapes on the streets of Canada for years. This, in addition to their presence in the community, has made them one of Canada's favorite hip-hop groups. Their first single from the new album, "Get it", is titled "Impossible" which also featured an acclaimed video. "The underground needs more support in Canada. Hopefully our presence will help that" says TRA of their HipHopCanada Digital affiliation. Their album drops in early 2009.
