Two of the most established and respected artists in the West coast are Checkmate and Concise. The two Vancouver artists have come together under the name Defenders of the Faith to release album debut "African Kings". The Album features thei debut single "Takin' It To The Top" which is receiving rotatin on video networks like MuchMusic and MuchVibe. "African Kings" features West coast greats, Daz and Kurupt(L.A.), Devin the Dude (Houston, Texas), King Reign, Bishop Brigante, Tone Mason (Toronto), Mical Monica, Young Kazh, Kemo, Savge Beats and Hydro (Vancouver). Additional production by Checkmate and Concise, with a Release dates scheduled for 2008.
